Church Plans Picket Of Maya Angelou’s Funeral

The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas is reportedly planning to picket the funeral of renowned poet, activist & educator Maya Angelou. WGHP TV reports the church is asking its Twitter followers to picket Dr. Angelou's funeral, referring to her as a "God defier Sin enabler and Fresh inhabitant of Hell." Angelou passed away Wednesday in Winston Salem, North Carolina at age 86. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made public. Mount Zion Baptist Church in Winston Salem is planning a public memorial Thursday evening at 7:30.
