Chunky Salsa Recall After Large Chunks of Glass Found in Three Jars

Chunky Salsa made by Olam Tomato Processors in Fresno, California, is being recalled because the jars may contain large pieces of glass. The company initiated the voluntary recall after three customers found glass in jars. No injuries were reported. The salsa was sold across the country at Dollar Tree, Dollar Express and Dollar Bill stores. The specific jars affected are: Mild Chunky Salsa, UPC 3927759137, production codes L12142 (Best By Date June 2015) and L04093 (Best By Date October 2015) and Medium Chunky Salsa, UPC 3927759139, production code L01313 (Best By Date July 2015). The production code is located on the glass jar itself below the cap and above the label. Consumers who purchased the salsa should return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
