Chubby Carrier Benefit Concert For Opelousas Boys And Girls Club

Grammy Award Winners Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, official band of the CJ and Debbie Ray Sailaway 2010, will host a benefit concert tonight (7/15) for the Opelousas Boys & Girls Club. The concert will be held at Mojo's Sports Bar inside Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino. Chubby plays from 8pm to 10:30pm.

All proceeds from tonight's concert will be dedicated to the Opelousas Boys & Girls Club which was forced to close this summer for the first time ever due to a lack of funds.  The club might have to shut its doors forever which would be tragic for the approximately 600 boys and girls who normally use the facility.  

Chubby is not charging to perform this evening.  ‘Same Ole 2 Step’ will play from 11pm to 1am after Chubby’s performance.
