Child Trafficking Suspect Extradited To Lafayette

A Lafayette woman wanted on child trafficking charges has been extradited back to Lafayette. KATC reports Darneesha Lashay Martin was arrested by authorities in Houston on January 18th. Officials credit "Operation Carpe Diem" for their success in apprehending Martin. She faces charges of promoting prostitution, and trafficking children for sexual purposes.
