CBS Announces Date For David Letterman’s Final ‘Late Show’

David Letterman announced his impending departure from CBS' 'Late Show' this past spring. Stephen Colbert was quickly announced as his successor. We now know the date of the finale. Letterman will do his last show on Thursday, May 20th, 2015. Colbert exits the the 'Colbert Report' Thursday, Dec. 18th.

CBS President Les Moonves issued this statement, “David Letterman has given to all of us a remarkable legacy of achievement and creative brilliance that will never be forgotten. It’s going to be tough to say goodbye, but I know we will all cherish the shows leading up to Dave’s final broadcast in May.”
