On Wednesday, December 26, 2012, between the hours of 8:30 am and 10:00 am, Lafayette Police will be closing I-10 East bound at North University Avenue.  I-10 traffic will be diverted onto Ambassador Caffery to West Willow Street while the roadway remains closed...

As if it weren't congested enough already, the route to the mall will be even worse on Thursday.

UPDATE 8:20 AM Advisory: I-10 MS River Bridge reopened. Baton Rouge City Police advises east and westbound lanes of travel are completely open. Drivers are encouraged to remain patient and expect delays as traffic will take some time to return to normal levels.
