St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is holding its annual Church Bazaar on September 15 and 16 at St. John's Hall in Mermentau.

This inaugural fundraiser is to benefit the "Sky's The Limit Of Acadiana" and "D.R.E.A.M.S. Foundation of Acadiana" by raising money to develop a residential community for special needs adults in Acadiana.
The Breast Center of Acadiana Foundation will be holding their 2nd Annual "Paint the Town Pink" event on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 7-9:30pm at Tsunami in Downtown Lafayette.
This year's event will honor the Pink Ribbon Divas, a support group for Breast Cancer Survivors under the age of 40.
Each year for the 'jeep jaunt' JAM!! (the official registration kick-off party for the 'jeep jaunt') 50 people who register win a "premium" item for registering. The first year of the JAM!! (2009) was a 'jeep jaunt' cap, in 2010 it was a hoodie, last year we gave out 'jeep jaunt' gym bags, and this year it is a 'jeep jaunt' beach towel!
