Can’t Make It To Elvis Week In Memphis, Watch The Candlelight Vigil From Graceland Livecam
Each August the population of Memphis Tennessee grows by almost a hundred thousand as fans from around the world converge onto Graceland for Elvis Week.
Elvis Presley passed away at his Memphis mansion August 16, 1977 and the world paused. Today, Elvis fans flock to Memphis every August to celebrate the life of Elvis Aaron Presley.
This week many people who worked with the King of Rock and Roll will become modern day celebrities themselves as they hold meet and greets with fans, hold special question and answers sessions and even put on concerts highlighting the music of Elvis.
The cornerstone event of Elvis Week each year is the Candlelight Vigil. The Elvis Candlelight Vigil always begins on the evening of August 15 and lasts well into the morning of August 16, as fans walk up the driveway to Meditation Garden holding a candle in quiet remembrance of Elvis.
If you can't make it to Memphis to witness the celebration in person, let the Graceland Livecam bring the Candlelight Vigil and the action around Graceland to you via your computer or smartphone.
