Louisiana Ragin' Cajun punter Daniel Cadona has been named the Ray Guy National Punter of the Week, giving him 4 football awards in the last 2 days.

Cadona ranks fourth nationally in average yards per punt (49.3). In the season opening victory over Southern, he booted a 77-yarder which currently ranks as the longest in all of FBS this season.

Versus Ole Miss, Cadona averaged 48.7 yards per punt, while kicking three inside the Rebel 20 yard line.

In addition to the Ray Guy POW honor, Cadona was named the LSWA special teams player of the week (for the second time this season), the Sun Belt Conference special teams player of the week, and the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) National Punter of the Week.

A native of Darwin, Australia, Cadona is in his second and final season with Louisiana. The senior has aspirations of playing in the NFL. With the success he's had through 3 games this year, he could be on his way.
