Cajun DB Loses Mother, GoFundMe Campaign Started To Help Pay For Funeral
Louisiana Ragin' Cajun defensive back Kamar Greenhouse, a redshirt freshmen from Marksville, played in his first college football game Saturday, getting action on special teams in UL's 27-3 victory at Texas State.
Tragically, he lost his mother, Allison Greenhouse, on Tuesday.
Speaking to Tim Buckely of The Daily Advertiser, Louisiana head football coach Mark Hudspeth noted Allison was a single Mother, raising Kamar and his three younger siblings. She was 43 years old.
There is no funds for funeral expenses, which spawned a GoFundMe campaign titled Allison Greenhouse Funeral Expenses, from the University of Louisiana Athletic department.
The goal is $15,000. As of 2:00pm on Thursday afternoon, the account has raised $2,105.
