Bumble Bee Recalls Nearly 32,000 Cases Of Tuna

Bumble Bee Foods, LLC. has voluntarily recalled 31,579 cases of canned tuna, according to a report from USA Today. The products involved are 5 oz. cans of chunk light tuna, both water, and oil packed. Inconsistencies in the sterilization process have been cited as the reason for the recall. The products in question were processed in February. They have a "best by" date of February, 2019. The product code on the can starts with the letter T. The company said, in a statement, “These deviations were part of the commercial sterilization process and could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.”
