Broussard Officials Calling For Neutral School Name

The Broussard city council and Mayor Charlie Langlinais have weighed in the controversial naming of the new high school that will soon be built in Youngsville. The 4 names left on the list are Caneview High, Cypress High, Veterans Memorial High and Youngsville High.

Langlinais and Broussard city officials argue that the school should not be named after any community because students from more than one area, according to The Advertiser.

The Lafayette Parish School Board may vote on the name next week. We want to know what name you think the school should have on our Facebook page.
