Brittni Fest, The Hard Work Of One Special Man: Meet Myles [VIDEOS]

Brittni Fest is the brainchild of one special individual, his name is Myles Bunker.  After being diagnosed with leukemia February 11th of this year, Myles wrote a song for Brittni, jumped in his truck in Lafayette and drove to Moffitt Cancer Center to perform it live, in Tampa!

Myles Bunker is a handsome young man with southern charm, the love of family and an urge to help.  I guess about a month ago, I received a text from Myles that said something like, "Gonna do something big to help y'all."  I had exchange numbers with Myles when he'd come to Tampa while Brittni was in the hospital, to play her a song he'd written just for her.  After reading the text, I wrote him back to say thanks.  I had no idea what this young man had in mind.

As it turns out, Myles and Myles alone, has put together what's promising to be quite an event for our daughter and family.  He asked me one day, "What should I call it CJ?"  I just randomly said, "Call it Brittni Fest."  Didn't think about it again.  Well, Mr. Bunker has been working day and night.  Brittin Fest will be huge.  I hope Brittni can be there either in person or Skyped.

But I digress.  I put this story together so that you could meet this young man and feel his heart.  And to let you know that in spite of what you see on the evening news, there are young people who know how to love, how to give and how to just be nice.

Myles watched his father fight cancer not long ago, so when Brittni was diagnosed he wanted to show his support and was one of the first to show up at the hospital in Tampa, Florida.  The first day he played music for Brittni from his phone, mostly original songs.  But the second day he did something that was quite amazing.  He made arrangements, which was no easy task, to take Brittni out of the room to go downstairs to play the piano in the lobby of the hospital that was under lock and key.  As I watched them together on the piano, I was moved to take out my phone.
