Bread Pudding Celebration at Downtown Alive!

When Bernie & I first started dining around during the Eat Lafayette campaign, we always made sure to sample the bread pudding at every restaurant (and let me tell you, there is lots of really good bread pudding in Lafayette's restaurants!) We always joked that the one festival missing from the celebration of food landscape was the one dedicated to the sweet, creamy goodness of a good pudding made of bread! Well, Downtown Lafayette must have read our minds because they're saluting this most delicious of desserts at Lafayette's 1^st Annual Bread Pudding Taste-Off! A host of top restaurants and caterers from the area will seek to claim the title of "Best Bread Pudding in Acadiana."  A total of eleven teams will bring their scrumptious concoctions for all to enjoy. The event will be held May 13th in downtown Lafayette, at Parc International during Downtown Alive!  Bread pudding sampling begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 7:30 p.m., or while supplies last. YUM! You can all sugared up and then head to NiteTown for KTDY's Polyester Power Hour Party! Friday the 13th is going to be great in Lafayette!
