Boy Falls Into Gorilla Habitat At Cincinnati Zoo [VIDEO]

A four - year old boy fell into a gorilla habitat at the Cincinnati Zoo over the weekend, ABC News reports. While the other gorillas in the habitat were placed in pens, one of the 400 - pound animals was able to reach the boy and dragged him through the water before zoo officials were forced to kill the gorilla. The boy was taken to a hospital but was not hurt in the incident.

The child's mother can be heard in the video saying 'Mommy's right here' and 'Mommy loves you' during the incident. What I don't understand about this entire incident is why no one jumped in to distract the gorilla. I know it's easy to say you'd do something extraordinary in a situation like this, but I know I'd go after my girls in a heartbeat to save their lives.
