How much would a fine be on a book this late?!

With ebooks and Audible and no more Blockbuster stores, most people are out of practice when it comes to returning rentals. Even when it was commonplace to make an extra trip to return something, everyone is guilty of having forgotten at least once. A few days or weeks overdue is one thing, but how about...84 years?!

Shreve Memorial Library in Shreveport revealed this week that 'Spoon River Anthology' by Edgar Lee Masters was returned after an almost 90 year absence. The son of the woman who checked the book out as an 11 year - old returned the book after finding it while cleaning his mother's house.

The book's not in the best shape and the fine was only $3, which was waived. Check out the post below for pics and more info.
