If you've ever gotten intoxicated and done something you regret you might have a really good excuse. Well, if you got intoxicated over the past few weeks while drinking Bombay Gin. It seems the manufacturers of the Bombay Sapphire London Dry might have made a wee bit of an error.

That error has created the need for the company to recall all product with the following code.

1728 Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin 1.14L  L16304w

The reason for the recall is that the producers accidently put twice as much alcohol in their elixir as they were supposed to. The standard bottle of gin has a 40% by volume alcohol content. In the bottles tested by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario this lot of Bombay Gin was found to have an alcohol content of 77% by volume.

This could give some drinkers north of the border a great reason to truly blame it on the booze. However, there is a less than humorous side effect of this mistake. That much alcohol could be damaging to the body or even cause death if too much is consumed.

Currently, the affected bottles have only been found in Canada. However, the parent company of Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin, Bacardi Limited, encourages its customers to check their bottles for the affected lot number. As of now, there have been none of the super spiked product found on the shelves of U.S. stores.
