Blue Bell Ice Cream has a voluntary recall on select packaging of Rocky Road pints from their Brenham, Texas plant.

While restocking a retailer, a Blue Bell employee discovered that some Rocky Road pints were mispackaged with Cookies 'n Cream Ice Cream, which contains

undeclared allergens soy and wheat, which may present a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction risk to people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or wheat.

According to the FDA, there are no illnesses reported to date and no health or safety concerns outside of those who have soy or wheat allergies.

You can identify the mispackaged pints by looking for a Rocky Road container with a Cookies 'n Cream lid. They can also be identified by a code (022918576) located on the bottom of the pint packaging.

You can also refer to the photo posted above.

The pints were distributed throughout Texas and Louisiana retail outlets, food service accounts, convenience stores and supermarkets. Back in early 2015, Blue Bell was taken off of shelves after a listeria outbreak was believed to be responsible for at least three deaths.

It returned to stores by the holiday season and hasn't had any issues with listeria since.

Any consumers who may have purchased the mispackaged ice cream can return them at the place of purchase for a full refund.
