Bike Month Celebration On May 2 In New Iberia

Iberia Parish Library has worked to get the city of New Iberia to declare May 2015 as 'Bike Month! ' Come celebrate with us by joining the Ancient Tree Bike Hike!

The Iberia Parish Library wants you to hear the story of the oaks while leisurely biking through town and learning the history of the oaks from horticulturist Jim Foret.

Helmets are required for the bike hike and children must be accompanied by an adult. The program is from 8:30 AM to noon on Saturday, May 2 beginning at the Main Library, 445 E. Main St., in New Iberia. This tour is perfect for out-of-town tourists, people new to the area, or those who just want to learn more about their...roots in the community.
