Big Easy Foods of Lake Charles Recalling Sausage and Chicken Products

Big Easy Foods of Lake Charles, Louisiana has issued a recall of sausage and chicken products because of an undeclared allergen. Here's the company's statement:

We are conducting a voluntary Class 2 recall on our pork sausage and potato stuffed chickens (raw and cooked) due to an undeclared wheat allergen which makes up less than .1% of the recipe. We have contacted our customers and asked them to let us know if you have any remaining product in your stores or warehouses and we will pick up. We have NOT received any reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of the chickens.

The UPC numbers for these products are:

• Boneless Pork Sausage and Potato Stuffed Chickens - UPC - 7-88767-00522-2   

• Cooked Potato Boneless Stuffed Chickens – UPC - 7-88767-00613-7

Product containing an expiration date of June 9th, 2017 or later is not to be considered in this recall.
