Last week there was a survey out about men and how most of them botch a wedding proposal.  Most men are so worried about coming up with the right words or a clever way to present the proposal, they forget the most important part, the RING!

A sampling of 2000 women were surveyed, and guys, looks like maybe you shouldn't buy the ring BEFORE the proposal.  Get someone to loan you a ring, because 75% of these women said they'd rather pick out the ring THEMSELVES!  Mainly because men would buy the wrong ring, according to the ladies.  These women said they would end up hating the ring and would be stuck with it as they wouldn't be able to tell their future husband he botched the buy.  95% of these ladies said they wanted diamonds.  The good part is, they thought the ring should cost an average of only $1200.

The survey also found that the perfect amount of time to date before proposing is about 25 months.  And about 25% of the female participants said if the proposal, the ring or both, weren't up to their standards, the guy would get declined.

A wedding proposal doesn't have to be perfect,  Just make it about the girl, and you'll be fine!
