In 1967, the Bee Gees released a song called 'Massachusetts.' The song went to Number One on the UK record charts. In 2017, Nick Lick and the Hickies used their melody but re-wrote the lyrics as a tribute to the parish seat of St. Landry Parish, Opelousas, Louisiana. When the Bee Gees recorded it, they had never been to Massachusetts and I'm guessing they still haven't been to Opelousas!
