There will be a full moon over the weekend. The "Beaver Moon" will be brighter than most, won't be a "Super Moon." It misses that classification by one day. Super Moons are full on the day they're closest to Earth. In this case, that's Friday. The Weather Channel reports, this moon is also known as the Hunter's Moon, and the Frost Moon. The Beaver Moon, according to the Farmer's Almanac, gets its name because the Algonquin Indians set out their beaver traps at that time to insure catching beaver before the swamps iced over. The Beaver Moon will be at its fullest shortly after midnight. The December full moon will, reportedly, be even brighter.
