The students of Barbe High School weren't very happy when they learned the National Anthem wouldn't played before Barbe played for 5A Baseball State Championship. They took matters into their own hands and sang the National Anthem as loud as they could at the start of the game, and as Bucs coach Glenn Cecchini says in the video, "The people have spoken."

I just spoke with a young man who played in the state championship last year, and he explanined why the Anthem wasn't played. In an effort to keep the games on time, the Anthem is only played at the start of the first games. I've been to plenty of tournaments where this has happened as well, so it's not like anyone was trying to be UN-American.

Below is the fantastic video of the teams on the field as the Barbe student section did the right thing.
