Update: The alleged getaway driver in the Church Point Bank robbery has been arrested. According to our news partners at KATC, 19-year-old Alinkay Wiley is accused of driving in the getaway vehicle after 17-year-old Javonta Lazaro and two other male suspects allegedly robbed the bank at gunpoint. Both Wiley and Lazaro are charged with armed robbery with bond set at $250,000 each.

Update: Javonta Lazaro, a suspect in the robbery of Church Point Bank Wednesday, has been arrested. According to our news partners at KATC, Lazaro was arrested around 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning and has been charged with armed robbery and is being held on $250,000 bond.

Church Point Elementary, Church Point Middle, Church Point High and Our Mother of Peace Elementary Schools have been put on lockdown after police say three men held up Church Point Bank at gunpoint on Wednesday.

This is according to our news partners at KATC, who say they were informed of the lockdowns by Acadia Parish schools superintendent John Bourque and Our Mother of Peace Elementary School officials. Police say the robbery happened around 1:35 p.m., allegedly carried out by three black men who all got away in a red car.
