Back To School Supply Lists For Lafayette

Lafayette Parish Public Schools are back in action beginning Monday, August 15, so I thought I'd take a look at what today's students are required to provide for the new school year. For those of us who haven't been in a classroom lately, the lists are pretty intersesting. For example, at Plantation Elementary, kindergarten boys need 1 box of gallon sized zipper seal bags and girls need 2 boxes of quart- sized, while at Carencro Heights, all kindergartners need 1 box of quart-sized. Wet wipes, tissues and paper towels seem to be on everybody's list. You can take a look at each school's Supplies List at the Lafayette Parish School Board's website. The 2011-2012 school year will end on May 24.
