A Tampa, Florida mom accidentally locked her 10 month old in a hot car, called 911 for help and the dispatcher said they couldn't.

Ten month old Jack  was playing with his mother Shana Dees keys when she strapped him into his car seat in the back seat.  She shut the door and before she could open the door to get the keys, he'd hit the lock button.  The black Acura wasn’t running and temperatures were nearing triple digits.  She began to panic.

Dees begged a passerby for a phone and dialed 911.  The dispatcher on the line said, They wouldn't be able to help unless the child was in some sort of distress.  Finally an off duty police officer spotted the distraught mother and stoped to help.  He called 911 and gets a different dispatcher and help is sent.

As the temperature rose inside the car, there was concern that the police wouldn't show up in time to save the child.  That's when someone in the parking lot retrieved a car jack and broke the window.  The child is safe.
