There will be a autism training seminar for law enforcement and first responders on July 18 at the Clifton Chenier Center on the north side of Lafayette.

The presenter is nationally-known speaker Dennis Debbaudt, an author/co-author of over 30 articles and books since 1993 about autism.  The seminar is aimed to reduce the risks associated with first responder and law enforcement interaction with people who suffer from autism spectrum disorders.

The Autism Training for Law Enforcement and First Responders seminar will take place at the Clifton Chenier Center Auditorium, Bldg. C, 220 West Willow St., Lafayette, LA 70501 on July 18, 2013, from  8:00 am - 12:00 noon.

The seminar is being presented by the Autism Society Acadiana, in collaboration with Lafayette City Police Department, and it is a FREE autism training seminar for law enforcement officers and first responders.
