Academy Investigating President John Bailey Over Sexual Harassment Claims
Almost every corner of Hollywood has been shaken by claims of sexual misconduct in the months since the New York Times first exposed decades of allegations against Harvey Weinstein — and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is no exception. The organization has, like many others, taken strides to reconcile with sexual abuses in the film industry, but the latest allegations hit much closer home: Academy President John Bailey is reportedly under investigation for multiple claims of sexual harassment.

Margot Robbie Officially in Talks for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
Margot Robbie’s name has been dropped in virtually every news story about Quentin Tarantino’s latest effort, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The director’s ninth film, which takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, features a fictional version of Sharon Tate — the former model who was nine months pregnant with husband Roman Polanski’s baby when she was murdered by Charles Manson’s followers. Robbie has long been Tarantino’s top pick to play Tate, and it looks like he’s getting his wish.
Danny Boyle Will Direct ‘Bond 25’ Later This Year
It seems to be official — the long, tiresome saga surrounding the next James Bond movie has finally come to an end. Daniel Craig will once again don his suit and tie, with Danny Boyle getting behind the camera to direct the 25th installment of the iconic 007 franchise…as long as the script meets his approval.
‘The Last Jedi’ Alternate Scene Gives Phasma and Finn a Different Showdown
Even those who adored Rian Johnson’s Star Wars sequel (like us) can probably agree that at least one thing was a little lacking: Captain Phasma. Although we were excited for the return of Gwendoline Christie’s super shiny and ultra-intimidating trooper, she didn’t have a whole lot to do in The Last Jedi. Given the focus of Johnson’s story, that’s understandable, but we would’ve liked to see just a teeny bit more from Christie’s antagonist. Thanks to this alternate scene, now we can.
Man Arrested for Stealing Frances McDormand’s Oscar Last Night
After delivering the acceptance speech of the night (and inspiring everyone to frantically Google “inclusion rider”), Frances McDormand was tragically separated from her Best Actress Oscar when a man — because of course it was a man — had the nerve to steal it from her at the Governors Awards ball. Thankfully, the separation was brief, as McDormand and her little golden friend were reunited, at which point they enjoyed a post-Oscars trip to In-N-Out burger. Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested for felony grand theft.

Quentin Tarantino’s Next Film Gets an Official Title, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio to Star
After months of speculation and reports on casting possibilities (and likelihoods, to be honest), Quentin Tarantino’s next film — his ninth, and his first without the Weinstein Co. — has an official title and a pair of stars. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have signed on to headline the project, which is titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
‘Heathers’ TV Reboot Premiere Delayed Out of Respect to Parkland Victims
The Paramount Network (formerly known as Spike TV) has officially announced its decision to delay the premiere of its Heathers reboot — based on the 1988 cult classic — in the wake of the recent horrific school shooting in Parkland, Florida. In a formal statement, the network explained that the premiere will be pushed back from March 7 to later this fall “out of respect for the victims, their families and loved ones.”
Chris Hemsworth Might Be Starring in That ‘Men in Black’ Reboot
A reboot of Men in Black doesn’t sound all that appealing — especially ever since we learned that the proposed 21 Jump Street / MiB crossover is no longer in the works. But when you bring Chris Hemsworth into the equation, suddenly a Men in Black reboot sounds pretty damn attractive. Handsome, even.
‘Paddington’s Paul King in Talks to Direct New ‘Willy Wonka’ Movie
After working his magic on the really, really ridiculously charming Paddington movies (which, according to Film Twitter, could very well lead to world peace), director Paul King is ready to bring a bit of that charm to the world of Willy Wonka. King is in talks to tackle a new movie based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — which, let’s be real, seemed like a really, really ridiculously uninspired idea…until Paul King came along.
Watch 79 Marvel Stars Adorably Assemble for a Massive MCU Class Photo
This year, Marvel Studios is celebrating 10 years of the MCU — an impressive length of time, to be sure, but even more impressive given the number of films they’ve released since 2008. (Black Panther is the 18th movie, FYI.) The game-changing studio is celebrating this milestone all year long, starting with a massive class photo (Academy Awards-style) in which they’ve assembled all 79 stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s so many familiar faces, in fact, that we had to crop some of them out in the above photo.
