On Friday June 17th Arnaudville police officer and husband Zachary Williams was burned in his face, arm and hand while trying to burn brush in his yard. He is a full time police officer for the small community of Arnaudville, but he needs the help of all of Acadiana.

The Arnaudville police department does not offer health insurance.  So the medical bills are piling up.  After being taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Lafayette, his facial burns were diagnosed as 2nd degree, his arm suffered 1st degree burns.

Williams was sent home to start the recover process.  After an appointment at the burn clinic on June 20th, all of his burns have been upgraded to 2nd degree.  His arm had to be scraped at the appointment and has to be continued daily.  He is not able to work until released by doctors.  He has a long road ahead and without an income.

A GoFundMe burn fund has been set up for Zachary Williams to help during this difficult time.  The family thanks you.
