My brother and I were recently discussing this. He doesn't have a smartphone because he wants it to simply be a telephone. Have you ever seen a couple walk into a restaurant, sit down, take out their phones and barely speak?
Couples who use Facebook to keep in touch reportedly have less satisfying marriages. Experts say the stress and pressure of maintaining so much social media can harm relationships.
About a year ago, I had a relationship end because of a dispute over a Facebook post. Maybe we all need a refresher course in face to face communication.
