April's full moon is known as the 'Pink Moon,' but that doesn't mean we'll see hues of fuschia, rose, and mauve in the skies above Lafayette and across the world. According to the Farmer's Almanac, in some parts of the world, it's called the 'Fish Moon,' 'Sprouting Grass Moon,' or the 'Egg Moon.' The terms apply to occurrences that are connected to the arrival of Spring. 'Pink Moon' refers to the blooming of moss pink or wild phlox flowers. Space.com says 2016's 'Pink Moon' will occur on April 22 at 12:24 AM CDST. Watch the Farmers Almanac live show about it here on Thursday night at 7 PM.
