Annual Church Bazaar in Mermentau

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is holding its annual Church Bazaar on September 15 and 16 at St. John's Hall in Mermentau.

On the morning of the 15th, the Bazaar officially opens with the St. John Fishing Tournament, which gets kicked off at the Mermentau River Bridge Landing at 7:30am.

Saturday's events include the Inaugural Washer Board Tournament at 2pm, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo from 4pm - 8pm, and Bingo at 5pm.

On Sunday, the BBQ Pork Dinner will be served from 11am till 1pm, with children's games, bingo, a raffle, sweet shop, concessions, "Trash and Treasures", and a live auction.

St. John the Evangelist is located at 707 Orange Street in Mermentau.
