I've long been a fan of horror movies, and one of my favorites is 'The Conjuring.' The film is based on the allegedly true events surrounding the hauntings experienced by the Perron family during their time in a long-storied farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island. Whether or not the events depicted in the film are true or not, 'The Conjuring' uses a great script, authentic acting, practical special effects, and chilling music to create a film that continues to haunt the viewer long after the end credits roll.

Some of the scariest scenes in 'The Conjuring' involve the 'possessed' doll, Annabelle, which was actually a Raggedy Ann doll in real life. 'Annabelle' debuts this Friday, filling in the story of what led to the doll's possession and legacy of terror. View the trailer above and click here for showtimes and to order tickets.
