We all remember the horrible shooting at the Grand 16 Theater in Lafayette on July 23 that wounded nine people, and killed Jillian Johnson and Mayci Breaux during a showing of Amy Schumer's 'Trainwreck'.

The shooter, John Houser, a drifter from Georgia, also killed himself before the police could apprehend him. Schumer has been very vocal about how heartbroken she was that her movie was being shown during the shooting.

The 34-year-old comedienne appears on the cover of the May issue of Vanity Fair Magazine, and talks about how she found out about the shooting on the night of July 23. “So my publicist told me. And then I put on the news. I was by myself in a hotel, and I was just like, I wish I never wrote that movie”.

She goes on at length about the shooting in the article  “The idea of people trying to go out and have a good time – you know, looking forward to it? I don’t know why that makes me the saddest.”

She also said she knew the shooting wasn't her fault, but that did not make her feel any better.
