Life is stressful. Your dog feels stress, too. Woman's World says petting your dog before leaving the house is very beneficial in relieving your pet's stress. You know that "don't go" look. A study, published in the Journal of Veterinary Behavior monitored the responses of two groups of dogs. One group was petted for a minute before their owners exited. the other was ignored. Both groups looked for their owners, but there was a difference. The petted dogs had lower heart rates, drooled less, and exhibited fewer signs of stress. The moral of the story, show your pooch some love before you leave.
