Ads For Oprah’s Finale Cost One Million Bucks!

It is going to cost a lot of money to be a part of Oprah Winfrey’s last show. According to Horizon Media, the asking price for a 30-second ad during the May 25th finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show is $1 million. That’s more than the cost of ads for last year’s Lost finale ($900,000) and the last episode of Fox’s 24 ($650,000). (Oprah’s audience is much smaller than both of those shows.) It is not the biggest price tag for an ad though. Commercials during the series finale of Everybody Loves Raymond cost $1.2 million, while the finale of Friends got $2 million an ad.
