Early Sunday (June 12) morning, an Orlando nightclub containing over 300 clubgoers was massacred by an armed shooter, leaving at least 50 people killed and 53 seriously injured. At one point during the event at Pulse Club, individuals were taken hostage, and the shooting ended in the assailant being taken down by a SWAT team hours after initial shots rang out around 2 a.m.

With officials describing the incident that took place at Pulse — which bills itself as "Orlando's Premier Gay Night Club" — as an act of "domestic terror," celebrities have begun pouring their support, condolences and frustration all across social media in reaction to this heinous and heartbreaking hate crime.

Stars like Adam Lambert, Johnny Weir and Josh Groban have expressed their support in solidarity with the LGBT community affected by this act of violence, while other celebrities like Julianne Moore and Andy Cohen have urged for their followers and leaders alike to pay closer attention to gun-related violence in hopes of reforming gun laws in the United States.

Sadly, this tragic event comes only a day after the brutal murder of singer-songwriter and YouTube star Christina Grimmie, marking a particularly dark weekend for the music-loving community here in the United States.

Our thoughts and condolences are with those affected by the massacre in Orlando, and the friends and families of those hurt.
