Much of Acadiana is under a flood watch until Thursday morning. The National Weather Service issued a flood watch at 1:58 pm (CDT) for Lafayette, and Vermilion parishes, effective until 10 am Thursday. A flash flood watch was issued at 2:50 pm for the following parishes: Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, East Cameron, Evangeline, Iberia, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lower St. Martin, St. Landry, St. Mary, Upper St. Martin, Vermilion, and West Cameron. This watch remains in effect until 6 pm, Wednesday. KATC reports residents can expect rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches. Some areas may see even more.
