Acadiana-area high school graduates who have decided to enlist in the United States Military were recognized today for their patriotism.

"Our Community Salutes" of Acadiana held the 2nd Annual High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette, which included guest speakers, a mock 'swearing-in' ceremony, and a luncheon.

"Our Community Salutes" of Acadiana is a program to publicly recognize graduating high school seniors who "answered the call" by making a voluntary commitment to enlist in the United States Military upon graduation from high school.
