UPDATE – Abbeville Recreation Director Resigns Amid Child Molestation & Sexual Battery Charges

Update: 32-year-old Trenton Baudoin has now resigned, according to our news partners at KATC. It was effective last week.

Abbeville's recreation director is on paid administrative leave after being indicted Tuesday on charges of sexual battery and child molestation.

According to our news partner, KATC, 32-year-old Trenton Baudoin was booked into the Vermilion Parish jail Tuesday on two counts of molestation of a juvenile and two counts of sexual battery.

He has since been released after posting $80,000 bond.

The case was handled by the Louisiana State Police because Baudoin served as an Abbeville police officer prior to his appointment as recreation director in 2014. LSP sent the case to the Attorney General's office.
