A Prayer For The Family Of Mickey Shunick And For You

Here's a prayer for the family of Mickey Shunick and for you.  As this community learns daily of new details surrounding the disappearance of Mickey Shunick, it's important that we all come together to help this family in any way possible but at the same time remember to protect our own families and ourselves.

We need to make sure Lafayette doesn't become a Baton Rouge or even worse, a New Orleans in terms of crime.  We must send a message to criminals, and that message is, Lafayette is not your playground.  This is a loving community of people who love and care for each other and we will not tolerate the invasion of evil.

To the people who have spearheaded the search of Mickey Shunick, BRAVO!  I have never seen a nationwide blitz of information from a grassroots approach like I have with the people who are leading the Mickey Shunick hunt.  As I said on the air this morning, I wouldn't have known where to start.

At this point in the search for Mickey, we all need to lift up the Shunick Family in prayer and positive thoughts.  The Shunick Family has exuded amazing strength, especially Mickey's sister, Charlie.  Even though I don't know the Shunick Family, I've learned enough to know that they are a loving family and Mickey Shunick is quite an extraordinary young woman.

I've seen prayer turn a category 4 hurricane into a category 1 hurricane overnight.  I know how prayer has help me through hard times and how I rely on prayer everyday of my life.  I visit the Monastery on the Breaux Bridge highway often, that sacred place is powerful...trust.  I invite you to join me in prayer for the safe return of Mickey Shunick.
