A mile on land and a mile on water are not the same distance, why?  A mile is a mile, right?

A literal ‘mile’ is the same wherever you measure it. However, sailors made a measurement (who knows why?) called a nautical mile, which is longer than a mile.

Other interesting facts:

A raindrop falls at 7 mph.

Add up opposing sides of a dice and you’ll always get 7.

Knots come out easier if you sprinkle talcum powder on them.

Frogs cannot swallow with their eyes open.

All the planets in our solar system could be placed inside the planet Jupiter.

Frowning burns more calories than smiling.
