A Bug On A Button Makes KTDY Go Silent For A Few Seconds [VIDEO]

Can a bug make a 100,000 watt radio station go silent?  It happened yesterday on the 'CJ and Debbie Ray in the Morning' show on KTDY.

Every now and then, we see ladybugs in the KTDY studio.  This is a new problem, not something that's been happening.  Yesterday, there was what appeared to be a ladybug sitting atop a sliding volume control that we needed to slide up to keep audio on the air.  Keep in mind, most times, announcers have to slide these controllers up and down on the fly, fast!  This particular morning, one controller didn't get turned up in time to keep something on the air.  But it wasn't because CJ, the board operator for the morning show, wasn't on his toes.  There was something in the way.
