9th Annual ‘Tour du Teche’ Hits The Water In October
The 9th Annual 'Tour du Teche' hits the water in Port Barre on October 5, 2018.
The 'Tour du Teche' is an annual race down the Bayou Teche from Port Barre to Berwick, 135 miles. The main race is split up into 3 legs: one on Friday, October 5th from Port Barre to St. Martinville, and the next day to Franklin, and the final day ends in Berwick.
Professionals and amateurs alike can enter the kayak races, and there are also events for pirogues and paddle boards.
Break out your paddleboat and join the fun, or find a shady place on the banks of the Bayou Teche and cheer the participants along the way!
