The 8th Annual "Walk for Hope and Family Fun Day" will be held April 5 at Blackham Coliseum, raising money for the Autism Society of Acadiana.

The 2014 Walk for Hope and Family Fun Day will begin with a fun walk on Cajundome Blvd followed by great family fun at Blackham Coliseum. Lots of food, snacks, and soft drinks will be available while supplies last. There will be many children's activities: assembling small building kits from Lowe’s; a rock wall; fun jumps; Mitch the Magician and a strolling balloon artist; carnival games; art activities; face painting; and a gaming trailer with indoor and outdoor video games. Music will be provided by Domingue’s Disc Jockey Service. Various exhibitors will be on hand with information on programs and services. We also will have a Walk Team T-shirt Contest!

All of the food and activities is included in the cost of the pre-registration fee: $20 for adults, 13 and up; $10 for those 6-12; and free for those 5 and under. Pre-registration ends at midnight on March 30, 2014. Walk t-shirts are only guaranteed to those who pre-register. After March 30th, registration is closed until April 5th.  Onsite registration will be $20 per person.
