The 8th Annual 'jeep jaunt', to raise funds for the American Lung Association, rolled through the streets of Acadiana this past weekend...

CJ already posted several pictures and a video from the event, but I wanted to give some specific numbers from the event.

The 'jeep jaunt' totals the monies raised throughout the year, which includes money raised from food/drink sales, registration fees, t-shirt sales and other donations from the 'jeep jaunt' and the annual 'jeep jaunt' JAM!!

This year, prior to the 'jeep jaunt', our 'jeep jaunt' JAM!! and the subsequent registration fees and donations up to Saturday, October 19th, totaled over $28,000.  The day of the 'jeep jaunt', monies raised from day-of registrations, t-shirt sales, auction sales and other donations totaled over $37,000, for a grand total of over $65,000 for the American Lung Association!

We had dozens of volunteers, from groups like the Lafayette Teachers Credit Union to Church Acadiana to individuals (family, friends, complete strangers).  At the registration, we handed out a total of 1,446 registration badges, breaking last year's total by over 300 people!

As far as for the number of vehicles, we're still counting the registration forms, but we are certain that there were more than 450 total.
