The Cinderella Project, an organization that makes prom dreams come true for local high school girls at no cost, is now accepting dress donations at multiple locations throughout Lafayette.

UL Lafayette AmeriCorps, Deano's Pizza, and Bevo's Lafayette are teaming up this year to collect prom dresses, shoes, and accessories for the 8th annual Cinderella Project.

Donations of new or gently used dresses can be dropped off at Deano's Pizza Bertrand or Kaliste Saloom Road locations, the UL Lafayette AmeriCorps office, or both locations of Bevo's of Lafayette for the entire month of February. Donations can include long or short dresses and should be dry cleaned and on hangers. Additional donation guidelines as well as operational hours for all drop-off locations can be found at CinderellaProjectLA.org.

The Cinderella Project has distributed 3600 prom dresses to students at 84 high schools in 18 parishes statewide.

The 8th annual Cinderella Project of Lafayette will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Blackham Coliseum from 9am to 3pm.
