The bus carrying the crew from the movie "50 to 1" stopped by for a visit at Townsquare Media Lafayette.

Acadiana native Calvin Borel rode Mine That Bird (a 50 - 1 long shot) to victory at the 2009 Kentucky Derby, and this movie is about that horse, Mine That Bird, and the road to "The Derby".

Christian Kane, Todd Lowe and Hugo Perez (stars in the movie), Jim Wilson (co-writer, co-producer and director of the movie), Faith Conroy (co-writer) and Nancy Meyer (promotion guru) stopped at Townsquare Media in Lafayette today, promoting the movie.

It's obvious as we speak to the crew that they are proud of the finished product, and they actually had a lot of fun making the movie (sounds like there were some Cannonball Run-esque shenanigans behind the scenes!).

The whole crew, including director Jim Wilson (Dances With Wolves, The Bodyguard) spoke highly of Calvin Borel; I wouldn't be surprised if he is asked to appear in more movies!

The movie opens wide on Friday, April 4th, 2014 ("opens wide", that's movie industry jargon!), and this guy plans to see it!
