Four time Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon has announced the 2015 season will be his last as a driver. Gordon made the announcement Monday morning. He has driven the #24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports since 1992. He won championships in 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2001. CBS affiliate WTVR published a statement Monday morning.

Gordon's charismatic, urbane persona has helped spur Nascar's growth in recent years, broadening its mainstream appeal.
